Certified Platinum: Our History with the Australian Event Awards

Namaste, welcome, and thank you for stopping at our blog byte. Your go to source for multicultural related news, updates, upcoming events, and any other interesting topics we encounter. As we come towards the end of 2017 and ride that glorious slope towards the festive season, we wanted to take advantage of a (comparatively) relaxed period and reflect on something that we haven’t really had the time to rightfully acknowledge.

Although we all failed miserably at placing bets during our recent Melbourne Cup get together, the Gandhi Creations team did manage to walk away with one trifecta in 2017. On September 14th of this year, Gandhi Creations were announced as the producers of the Aggreko Best New Event at the 2017 Australian Event Awards. Confluence: Festival of India in Australia, the national celebration of Indian artistry and culture for which we were recognized, was honored with this achievement in three of the six Australian territories in which it occurred. Our team enjoyed an amazing evening as we were deemed as the producers of the best new events to occur in the Northern Territory, South Australia, and the Australian Capital Territory. Receiving this award across three major Australian territories was truly humbling and our experience with the 2017 Australian Event Awards was by far the most memorable that we have ever had.

Our Journey with the Australian Event Awards began in 2013 when we entered the Best Community Event category for our production of the Premier’s Harmony Dinner, a glamorous Gala night dedicated to celebrating the contributions of Australia’s multicultural leaders. Being contracted to produce the event itself was a monumental breakthrough for Gandhi Creations, which was at the time an emerging marketing and event management company seeking to break through into the mainstream. Whilst we were extremely proud of the event that we had produced, receiving this award came as a huge surprise to our team. Even more so, the amount of recognition that we received following our win was entirely unexpected and formed a launching pad for us to continue developing our brand and reputation as a leader within the cultural diversity space.

Following our amazing experience with the Australian Event Awards in 2013, Gandhi Creations entered once more in 2015, this time for our Corporate Cultural Diversity Day concept that had recently been rolled out nationwide amongst major organisations such as Optus and Bayer. This year was particularly important to us as it was our first major event to merge our corporate and cultural events together. Moreover, we strongly believed that this event concept could greatly strengthen multiculturalism in Australia and foster positive attitudes towards diversity in it’s workplace. Entering the Best Cultural Event Category, we were ecstatic when we were announced as State Winners for the second time. Again, the response we received was phenomenal, leading to heightened brand recognition and a range of new clients.

Over the years our team have had their fair share of excitement partaking in Australia’s most highly esteemed event management awards platform. Our company has experienced substantial growth on the back of these awards and we hope to continue sharing our events and stories through this forum. A big thanks to the Australian Event Awards team for producing these awards and for creating a forum where Australia’s leading event management companies can be acknowledged for the blood, sweat and tears that they put into producing events throughout the year. We can certainly say we know the feeling and are proud to have had three of our events recognized !
